PackProof by Mira — DAZ ZIP Comparison Preview

Compare a release before you ship it

PackProof is an offline Windows utility for creators who package DAZ products. Choose a previous and a new product ZIP, then save a local HTML comparison report. You do not need to install either product to compare the packages.

What the report shows

• Added, removed, byte-changed and unchanged files.
• Selected DUF/DSF references that still point to files removed from the previous package.
• Case mismatches, machine-specific paths and unresolved dependencies.
• Scan coverage, including unreadable files and unsupported reference forms.

Your product ZIPs stay on your computer. The utility reads them without uploading, extracting or modifying them. Reports contain filenames and reference paths: review them before sharing.

Try the included demo first

1. Unzip the preview download.
2. Open PackProof.exe. Python is not needed for the bundled Windows executable.
3. Compare the two included synthetic demo ZIPs and open the HTML report.
4. If useful, compare two versions of a product package you are authorized to inspect.

Requirements and limits

Windows x64. Source is included. Limits: 32 MiB per decoded DUF/DSF, 4 GiB expanded ZIP, and 30,000 files per archive. Selected UTF-8 JSON or gzip DUF/DSF file references are checked.

This is an evaluation prototype. It does not validate rendering, asset fragments, DSON schemas, scripts, Poser files, licensing or marketplace acceptance. Intentional base-product dependencies may produce warnings. A byte change may be a formatting-only change. Findings require review. The executable has no code-signing certificate.

This preview is free, with payments and donations disabled. A supported paid pilot may follow if creator trials demonstrate concrete value; no price or release date is promised.

• The release question you were trying to answer and your normal checking process.
• One useful result, or whether the tool added nothing to your workflow.
• Any wrong, confusing or missed finding, plus your Windows version if there was an error.

Please do not send product ZIPs, customer assets or unredacted reports. Redacted observations are enough. This preview provides no release certification or promised time saving.
